The extended access service aims to make it easier for people living in South Derbyshire to get an appointment with a GP or another health professional within a primary care setting.
Extended GP Hours
The Extended Access service – the service offers patients appointment times on the evenings and weekends at a centralised hub at Ragsdale House. The building is located opposite Woodville Surgery near Clock Island, building is next to Woodville Cricket Pitch. Full address: Ragsdale House, 138 Burton Road, Woodville DE11 7JG.
If you are registered at our Surgery, there are appointments available:
- 6:30pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday
- 9am to 12pm, Saturday
- For an hour and a half on all bank holidays (hours to be announced)
This is not the same service as the out of hours service, which will remain in place.
Weekend and evening appointments
A limited amount of evening and weekend appointments are available at Ragsdale House.
These are 15 minute appointments with a GP or ANP who, with your consent, will have full access to your medical records. Please visit our Consulting Room to book.
How to book an extended access appointment
To take advantage of these appointments, patients must pre-book by:
- phoning the surgery on our appointments line
- visiting the surgery in person
You must be the person attending the appointment when you book. You cannot ask someone to book on your behalf unless it is for a child, or you are recorded as having permission to act on their behalf.
Appointments are limited in number and are on a first come first served basis.
The appointments are based at Ragsdale House Woodville.
